CoBalance Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using CoBalance, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

CoBalance is a co-parenting expense tracking application that helps divorced and separated parents manage shared expenses, split costs, and maintain financial transparency. The service includes features for expense tracking, cost splitting, and temporary loans between co-parents.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

4. User Conduct

You agree to use CoBalance only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

Use the service to harass, abuse, or harm another person
Provide false or misleading expense information
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' accounts
Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

5. Financial Transactions

CoBalance facilitates expense tracking and temporary loans between co-parents. All financial agreements and transactions between users are the responsibility of the users themselves. CoBalance is not a party to these agreements and does not guarantee payment or resolution of disputes.

6. Limitation of Liability

CoBalance LLC provides the service "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any disputes between co-parents, financial losses, or damages arising from use of the service. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

7. Dispute Resolution

CoBalance provides tools to help co-parents track and manage expenses, but we do not mediate disputes or provide legal advice. Users are responsible for resolving their own financial disagreements, with legal counsel if necessary.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time through the app settings.

9. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
